Today`s class was my last class with this group, and I think that many things worked well today. First of all, the students came on time, so I began my class and I think that is was really nice for me and also for the students. The first activity was the warm-up I gave them a verb in present tense and they had to create a sentence using the present prerfect. The real class was with a little bit of grammar. I really liked the way they worked today. I reached my objective and they understood the class.Maybe something that did not work well was that one student was saying in the whole class "I don`t understand teacher". but in Spanish. He always did that in every class, I don`t really pay attention to him because he likes to call everybody`s attention.
Today we worked in a semi-circle and everything was in pairs. They just had to change the partner in order to work with other people. I think that the students worked more when they are in couples, because they feel confidence about themselves than when working alone, and they also make a good job when working in pairs. One thing I know now is that I always have to correct students`mistakes and monitor them all the time in order to be not only usefull, but also to check their work and the understandable ideas they have from the class.
I think that students knew and got the most important things of the class, not only because all of them worked with the exercises, but also because if they had any doubt I tried to explain again.

ResponderEliminarI am sure that you really enjoyed this last class because you improved yourself and everything you did during your classes. Don't worry about the trouble makers because there is always a student who acts in that way everywhere.

Great for you Teacher Cory I know you have done the best you can.I know that it is a mixture of feelings at the end of all the effort you put in every single class.I´m sure you´ll practice all the experiences you´ve achieved in your next experiennces teaching.I wish you the best, hoping you continue doing "CORY´s" touch in everything.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, Cory...sometimes we must not pay attention to some people who only try to call people's attention and ruin our classes. I liked the warm-up activity. And I also agree with you on monitoring our students all the time because some of them are afraid to ask when everybody listens, but they ask when only we can hear ;)

ResponderEliminarCongratulations because your bad luck changed completely!! I am happy to know that most of your classes were really nice. Unfortunately, you had problems in the first class, but we understand that it can happen to whoever!! We plan a very good class but, at the moment of teaching everything can change because very group is different!!
