Today`s class was very active because I had to teach for the first time the control practice activities from the lesson. I think I got my objective on this class. Something that worked well today was that I made the class very interactive with students asking them to pass in front of the board to complete the sentences using I Wish at the beginning of each sentence. All of them passed and wrote their part in the board.
Something that did not work well today was that was raining in the whole class, and it was really hard not only for them, but also for me to teach. We had speak a loud and it was really difficult for me to continue with the class, and for them to participate.
The activity in which the students used more English was when they were saying their own sentences about their wishes.
Something that is very important for me and I think for most teachers is not only to reach, but also to check if students are reaching the objective. At the end of the class I always make some question to some students in order to know if they understood the class. I always monitor my classes and check students`work.
I used different classroom management such as semi-circle and circle. This particular group always work in a semi-circle. I also used different interaction formats.For example : pair- work, group work and working in trios. They really enjoyed working in pairs today.
They work better in pairs and I let them to do it if they don`t talk much, but if I see they`re talking I don`t make or work in pairs.
This group is very nice. When I was giving directions today I tried to be clear, and for the first time I did not repeat the directions. I really like working with them.
This group is really special because they really like to speak English. They do it every minute, they don`t like to speak Spanish. Only two girls are the ones who don`t speak to much English, but I ask them to participate anyways.
Cory, I can see that you have been having a great time. It is nice to see that you are growing up with this new and remakable experience. Remember that teachers transmit students the energy they have at the moment of the class.

Active classes are better than boring classes because it is more meaningful for students to work in a very funny and active way.

Wow as I can see you are very happy to be teaching at Advanced English I my dear! :) Now I know that you have analized how important is to teach at any level.I know that some levels are more difficult than others, but we have to learn to teach as much levels as possible. Something important when teaching is to enjoy what we do because in this way we motivate our students to participate and to enjoy the class, too.

It is really nice because as we know, Advanced Eglish is a difficult level but thanks God, you are doing your best! What I really like about your class is that at the end, you make questions in order to know if you have reached your objective. That is really important because that means that you are really caring about your students´ learning process!!
